The 12 Disciples (Also Known as the 12 Apostles)

Jesus' Twelve disciples (also written the 12 disciples) traveled and ministered with Jesus for about 3 years in Jesus' public ministry.

We learn about who they were in Luke 6:14-16.

Luke 6:13-16 - Jesus Choose 12 Disciples - Welcome to Truth

John, the son of Zebedee, and Matthew (also known as Levi) were two of the writers of the Gospels, along with Luke and Mark.

Simon Peter wrote 1 Peter and 2 Peter, and gave his gospel to Mark, who wrote out Peter's gospel in the Gospel of Mark.

Also notice that within the 12 disciples, we do not see James or Jude, the brothers of Jesus, as they were both converted AFTER Jesus rose from the grave, and both also contributed books to the New Testament we read today.
